LASTTT BLOGGGGGG YAAAAYYYYYY

HELLOOO FOR THE LAST TIMEEEEE EVERRRRRR !!!!!
The day has come that we will no longer have to pull up the syllabus because you've forgot the password, log onto this gmail account, and write/comment on blogs. WAAAAAAOOOOOO!
lol okay im being over dramatic and annoying.

But this semester came and left so fast. To be honest this is probably the only writing/english/RWS class I've enjoyed my entire life. Though i complained about these blogs or some other things i dont remember... This class was very bearable and fun.

Hmmm. The genre that I enjoyed the most was probably the blogs LOL. Just because they were short, super casual, and basically easy. I mean I'd choose any of the genres we wrote this semester over rhetorical writing any day so imma just say all of them were great.

Since the semester is winding down my brain has been slowly shutting down lol. SO i honestly can not increase the length of my last paragraph because i am currently not thinking in depth nor having the motivation to think in general.

hmmmmm. resumes.

I have 2 different resumes.. 1 that is food related and 1 that is specifically for the superior court. I adjust the superior court resume to accommodate a specific job im trying to go for whereas the food resume is used as is for all restaurants, boba places etc. They aren't great at all out of 10 i'd grade my resumes a 4.

My first resume is the food related resume i still use today but just tweaked. It got me my first job at subway when i was in 10th grade, surprisingly. I wrote it because everybody says "You must have a resume" lol. My interview wasn't great because i suck at public speaking and trying to think of answers to questions like "Why do you need this job" or "What makes you a great candidate" etc. was tragic. So it must have been my resume because it was a group interview and all the other candidates had great answers.

welp my brain is shutting down completely because im making plans to go get some dessert lol. OKAY bye guys this was nice!  I hope you guys have a great teennksgiving, christmas, and a happy new years and a great rest of your years, semesters at SDSU. (:

  1. Hey Brenda!

My favorite genre was also the blogs for the same reason! They were something so much easier to write instead of having to really think and cite a million things. But I too did complain a lot haha but this class was definitely one of the best English classes I've ever had to take. I also tweak my resume with every job application to show case specific skills for the job. Omg my friend also worked at Subway for a little and he said they got to eat the cookies that broke and couldn't put out! I was like omg I LOVE Subway cookies!! They SO good, I should work there just for the broken cookies... I wish I had one right now.....

  2. Hello Brenda. It is crazy to believe this is the last blog that we are going to have. It feels like we just started the semester not too long ago but we are almost finished! Can you believe it is almost Thanksgiving? And when Thanksgiving comes Christmas is going to feel like a few days away! Anyway, I do agree with you that this class was fun and different in some ways. Pretty helpful. I can say that this class has been the funnest English class I have had in years. It is a good idea that you have two different resumes that will accommodate the companies or places you are willing to apply to. My resume is kind of generic and can apply to most places, but maybe having some a bit tweeked will allow me to fit in better at some places. It’s crazy to be working in 10th grade. But it’s good to hustle early though!

  3. Hi Brenda!
Just wanted to say I've really enjoyed reading your blogs this semester, they're definitely entertaining to read!
But I agree with you, blogs were by far the most fun genre of the semester. I like that there were really no rules that confined us while writing these blogs and we could really display our personality and quirks.
That's super smart you have different resumes for different types of positions. And props for working so young!

    Have a great break!
